I do not why I cannot write poetry any more. I do not know why everytime unknowingly I have to look for someone else's approval of my choice. I never needed one before and i dont need one now.

I have forgotten how it feels to touch leaves, how it feels like, all I know is the rattle of the key board, the competition and the fast track life.

The blankness of not doing something worthwhile, something to bring on a smile. What do people think, what are they really? What do they want, just squeezing out oppurtunites from one another or is it just more than that? Is it good to have money or is it worthwhile to think of how life would be if you had a bagfull hidden in the backyard?

Is it enough going to Dallas or just sit in front of the lake and trying to find ourselves? Who wants what, what do i want? Is happiness not in the water splashing, is it in the diamonds, is it in the fancy restaurant or in finding out your true friend.

drama

One dramatic day- I was nominated for the post of the President for the Multicultural Students Association. It was amazing, but more I thought I realized i will not be able to cope up with time time and dedication needed. Fall will be pretty busy for me. Have classes everyday, have job to keep to pay my bills and if things go well will do an internship also. Could not have taken more. Rest of it for me.

Post Chicken salad for dinner with lots of spinach and brocolli, it is time to get back for exams. It is final weeks and need too much to finish.

film and dreams

Watched Mira Nairs " Salam Bombay" last night. It left a deep impact in me as never before, I woke up several times at night thinking about that innocent boy and how life can become.

Just because I was luckily born in a proper family I was saved. I could have been one of them. It made me think what I can do to help them, how I can work towards it.

As for my friends we are trying to open a discussion group, a real one, where we can come and talk. Not the superficial girl talk or the get togethers but the real one and have host discussion, Could be from dreams to fears to anything.

Never thought how tough it can be, how much people protect their real selves actually and pretend to be what they are not. The fear of not letting out the real fears and problem. I have been there once and i know how we fear to be judged. I have a feeling it is not going to work out and am out of it. Dissapointing but that how it is i guess.

Fun day

It has been a great day, so hectic but i enjoyed every moment of it.

It started with my radio recording for the commercial for the final project. Me and Cludia are in the team but we have been joined by the production team for the shooting of commercials. Samantha (sam) is our team. An amazingly pretty and cheerful girl, prefect in skills and loves her work. Just what we needed. Our ad planners are Haggai and Angela and Sam is also repsosible for our editing.

We have a wonderful cast, not are they good actors, they are amazing persons, cheerful, ready to wrok hard and we all are bonding well.

After the radio recording which went well, we came back for the TV commercial shooting at noon. Nora , the main cast is so pretty and nice. We shot our office scenes in Mooses office (our mass comm professor) because I like her room, its cosy yet proffesional.

After the office shots, we went for the graduation ceremony shot and Chris ( prof of mass comm of broadcasting) was so helpful and nice. It was great work with running around for silly things like a coffee mug to make the table for the shoot look good and then for ribbons to tie the diploma. I had a great time. I love advertising, no other proffesion is perhaps as creative and practical at the same time. It is so good to see your own ideas coming to life.

It's one good time for me, would love to post my story board here but probably would be better that i do it, once the assignment is over. Things have been working really well for me. Touchwood.

I have to say, that I guess i should be working for an NGO in summer:) Wuhoo!!! Thank you God.

Will be shooting for my first TV commercial for my class assignment and also the radio commercial. Learned garage band today, was awesome!

Last week has been too much fun with the casting call, it was so awesome. Interviewing people and talking to them, getting the right person to choose- hard work and homework to do but a great feeling.

Castings final, met everyone today. Awesome:) Will be shooting this week for the commercial. Also will be covering a film on cricket based in Chicago for an Indian newspaper:)

creative den

It has been an amazing month for me, not because it was my bday, but lot of things have changed for good.

Good news is I have my digi cam now, so can post as many pictures i want. My bday was spent well, with lots of fun. Shopped quite a little bit and have changed my lifestyle again, but this time hoping to maintain.

Yesterday was another day, we went shopping for 5 hours.................till i could not walk in my shoes anymore. Painful..ahhh! Came back home with dicount deals in foleys and blah blah blah! The best thing I bought was the bamboo steamer from the Cao Guyen market, the one i saw in Martha Stewart show. Will cook my dinner in that hopefully today. Spicing up with lots of exercise and proper meal. My lunch today was tomatoe spinach salad, with some olive oil, nuts and jalepeno:). Liked it actually.

For now back to studies and the treadmill at 5.30pm.
