joys of life

Life can be tough at times, but trying to design my own course that i will teach during summer in India, taught me a lot.

I have learnt to experience the smaller joys of life, being grateful with whatever I have and most of all knowing how to keep myself calm.

I really hope the senior students in my alma mater (Mount Carmel) will like it as much as i am enjoying trying to develop it.

Got a cool website from one of my friends Partha and it can really soothe you down. So, when i am angry or upset, I make sure to listen to it.

I believe in meditation, not that i do it everyday, but have tried it in the toughest moments of life and it had worked like a miracle. It is tough to concentrate, but I liked these from Oprahs website.

I turn back to these when I am most upset with life or me personally. It becomes esaier to concentrate when trying to listen to someone. Probably will include meditation in my course as well.

Life is interesting- who wants to study?

Suddenly am having the greatest time , making new friends in life and spending some good times with them. Situation can be funny, so funny. Ronisha is a good friend of mine, we end up talking a lot though all through the facebook. Every plan we make to get together somehow or the other doesnt work. How cool is that becoming friends on the facebook.

Indira and I ended up chatting the entire morning. She has always been one fo my favorites, it was fun talking so much with her.

Am back in work and Saturdays are not much work really. Oh , did i say my chocolate cake turned out superb and my friends liked it. Next week, am going to shop!!!

hornets

Went to a NBA basketball match today.a free ticket from school made it possible, tickets otherwise costs around $50.

Five friends packed in a car and enjoyed a lot..................the stadium is huge and was amazing. We were given out cheering stuff and funky necklaces.all geared up, we cheered for the Oklahoma Hornets.......was against the Utah Jazz.

As i munched on nachos,I wondered how things come true. Played for my class in school and though got selected for the district level........dropped out. It meant going for practise every Saturday and i preferred my dance class than sweating in the sun for hours. Finally, here I am enjoying a NBA game. I have watched them in ESPN in India and here on weekends in TV. nNthing could beat the thrill here........

Though Hornets lost, it was an experience i will never forget.The fans cheering, the cheerleaders , the thrill of being there.

snowy morning

Have not written in a while. It has snowed today, and is so cold.

I am happy, surprisingly happy without too many reasons to site for it. I am driving these days and the fun part being I go to pick up my friends now. Making some good friends too, have added Indira in the list. The tough part is keeping the same intensity and maintaining it.

A saturday morning and while the radio blares in the background and the cup of coffee is steaming i have nothing else to complaint about. It is perfect.

Will be going to have sushi tomorrow me and Win, cant wait for it. It is my second trip, the first a few months back was full of anticipation, the fear of not liking what I was to have. But I liked it and want it more frequently now. California rolls is fine for me, but I might try something else this time.

olympics

Winter Olympics and am sad Michelle Kwan had to go back. I bet it was the toughest decision she had to take. She is amazing.

Congratulations to Sean white he was just amazing to watch.

Amidst all this, am here doing my assignment and watching Olympics. Today took Su Cheen to do her grocery, am finally driving, couldnt be happier. Tomorrows my roomied bday, got a small cake for her. Hope she likes the surprise, could not give her a better gift,i drove to get it :) The reason being that she would accompany me in my driving lessons.

Time to get back to work, oh did i say how surprised i was to see my plump cheeks. When on earth did I become so fat???????

reach your goals

I could not be happier!!!! It is the perfect epitome of success for me. I am going to take an orientation program when i go to India in summer in my own school.

This is what i have wanted to do for years and am grateful I finally got the chance. It is going to be fun and a big learning experience for me.

It is amazing more so because i am going to talk about what i have feared in my life and how I over came it. It is to emphasize how special everyone is and not to be defeated by smaller failures in life. Hold on to your dreams is what i belive in. If you want it, you will get it.

Funny times

I have been driving around a little more:) It is such a relief because I do not have to walk in the winter.

These days keeping busy, yet trying to find out a new dimension to myself. The 'reach the goals' class is amazing. Something i have done all through these years, it is fun and relaxing! It made me think, what i want and how i am going about it.

My advertising class is fun as always, very creative and the presenataion in class are hillarious. The next project is all outdoors almost, very different. Have to find out locations for brands, which i have no clue how i am going to do. Also, find out appropriate songs for a brand. This is driving me crazy, I do listen to songs but I am not a pro to have millions of song in my mind from which i can grab one and say, 'this is the one!'

Work's fine, trying to make it a little more fun so that i can enjoy at it more.

Oh, I need a digital camera.Now i do not have one, confused whether i should get one right now or not? While i am trying to save a little for my ticket back home in summer, why did this have to come in handy right now? No clue..............
